Easter Photos

April 9, 2012

I had a glorious Easter celebration. Up early for the sunrise service then church at 9:3o. My pastor preached a great sermon from Philippians 3:12-14 about “getting in the game, having the right attitude and the right focus”. It was such a good sermon for those who wonder if they have ever given their hearts to Christ. He said “Christ died for us so that He could get into us”. Amen!

Afterwards we changed and went to my daughter’s house for dinner and an egg hunt.

Thought you might enjoy some photos.

Me with  all 8 of my grandchildren in my daughter’s backyard:

Easter really is a great “picker upper.” I used to speculate about why the Apostle Paul wrote, “I’m determined to know nothing but Christ and him crucified.” Some time ago it occurred to me that if Jesus hadn’t been crucified on our behalf there could have been no resurrection in which we participate through our baptism, Rom. 6:4. Thus everything in Scripture hinges on the crucifixion of the Son of God. Looking at those beautiful grandchildren reminded me that growing up in Christ ensures that you’ll rejoice in and with them for all eternity because of the crucifixion. Hallelujah! –Blessings, Don
