After an unusually warm winter I awoke to this scene this morning! We had about 8″. I love the clean, fresh atmosphere and the quiet that settles over the neighborhood. I think I am still a kid at heart that eagerly anticipates it and somehow, I give myself permission to enjoy a “snow day”.

It was good that we had a kerosene heater as well as gas logs. The electricity was off all night and until about 2: 30 this afternoon. i pray for those who did not have a way to stay warm.
